The Disease |
|
Warburg Micro Syndrome 1 is an inherited disease affecting the Husky breed. It is characterized by polyneuropathy with ocular abnormalities and neuronal vacuolation (POANV). Symptoms start at very early age and affected dogs develop a progressive severe ataxia. Affected dogs are euthanized between 8 and 16 months of age.
