Description |

• This test is used to detect myasthenia gravis in cats. In this
disease, antibodies against acetylcholine receptors are formed.
It is characterised by weakness of the striated muscles which is
enhanced by stress.
• The weakness of the muscles may be generalised or locally
limited to few muscle groups, such as those of the oesophagus
(megaoesophagus).
