Description

Taurine deficiency occurs mainly in cats, as they are unable to convert enough cysteine into taurine. Determination of taurine is also useful for dogs that are not fed commercial food (e.g. BARF, vegan). Chilled EDTA plasma must be sent in for the analysis. Can be sent on ice pack to arrive on Monday or Thursday morning in Mancchester
